What is an Australian Tourist Visa (ETA)?
If you are planning to travel to Australia for a holiday or to visit family and friends you will need an Australian Tourist visa to enter the country.

Does everyone need an Australian Tourist Visa?

How long is it valid for?
The visa is valid for one year from the date of issue. It allows you to stay in Australia for up to three months on each visit within that year. If you wish to visit Australia for longer than three months you will need an Australia Long Stay Tourist Visa.
Can I work on this visa?
No. The Australian Tourist Visa is for holiday purposes only. You cannot work on this visa. If you wish to work in Australia you will need an Australia Long Stay Tourist Visa.
